We are proud that KLM operated the first commercial flight on biokerosene in June 2011 and its first transatlantic flight fuelled partly by sustainable biofuels between Amsterdam and Rio De Janeiro in June 2012, which was the longest distance any aircraft has flown on biofuels. We hope that these important steps will set a new standard for greater sustainability in air travel throughout the world.
